Luke Roberts Joins Augusta Golf Cars as the new Managing Director

In a significant move for the Australian golf and utility vehicle sector, Berckmans Pty Ltd has announced the acquisition of Augusta Golf Cars, a premier distributor of the E-Z-GO, Cushman, and Pace Technology brands.

The acquisition marks a new chapter for the company, which has built a nationwide reputation for serving golf clubs, resorts, and industrial operators. Berckmans, a consortium of investors with backgrounds in manufacturing and technology, cited a “shared love of golf” and a commitment to the industry’s long-term growth as the driving forces behind the deal.

Key Leadership & Strategy

  • New Managing Director: Industry veteran Luke Roberts takes the helm, bringing over 15 years of experience in sales and operations within the leisure sector.
  • Strategic Focus: The new ownership aims to preserve the company’s legacy of service while increasing investment in sustainability, fleet management technology, and system innovation.
  • Dealer Network: The transition emphasizes a continued partnership with Augusta’s extensive national dealer network, which remains the cornerstone of its service delivery.

“Change in ownership often brings uncertainty. In this case, it brings confidence,” the company stated, noting that the transition is designed to ensure stability for long-term partners and commercial clients.

With a portfolio that spans from championship fairways to industrial campuses, Augusta Golf Cars is positioned to expand its footprint under Berckmans’ leadership, focusing on the evolving needs of the modern Australian golf market.
