Brisbane’s Victoria Park Golf Complex Closed Permanently on May 31

POSTED ON May 29, 2026 @ 3:14 pm

The Victoria Park Golf Complex in Brisbane has announced it will permanently close its doors on Sunday, May 31, 2026, marking the end of 27 years of operations. The iconic golf and entertainment precinct is entering its final days of trade, concluding nearly three decades as a staple of the local community.

A Look Back at 27 Years of Operations

Since its establishment, Victoria Park has integrated itself into the social and athletic fabric of Brisbane, serving multiple generations of visitors. The facility has hosted a wide range of activities over the years, including professional golf tuition, an 18-hole golf course, and a driving range.

“As a cherished part of Brisbane’s fabric, Victoria Park has been woven into the stories of generations,” the venue stated in an announcement. “For so many, it has been a place where memories were made.”

Beyond traditional golf, the venue became well-known for its leisure offerings. These included social “sip & swing” events, first dates, family outings, and seasonal, themed mini-golf setups such as Candyland, Christmas, and Halloween. It also served as a prominent venue for milestone events, including weddings.

Management credited the longevity and status of the complex to its patrons, noting, “It’s the people, the memories, and the golfing community that have made Victoria Park the institution it is today.”

Final Days of Trading

The complex will maintain its normal trading hours right up until its final hour of operations on May 31. Management is encouraging members of the public to visit the precinct one last time to utilize the amenities before the closure.

In a direct message to the community, the venue shared:

“Dear Brisbane, It’s with heavy hearts that we begin the countdown to our final day of trade on the 31st of May 2026. Before we close our doors, we welcome you to enjoy one last meal at the bistro, play a final round of putt putt, take that last coaching lesson or hit at the driving range, pop in to say goodbye to our team, or simply stroll through the park and reflect on the memories made here – perhaps even your beautiful wedding day.”

The Final Countdown

With only a few days remaining before the shutdown, the venue is preparing for a final wave of visitors looking to say goodbye to the precinct.

“We’re here for a good time, not a long time! Doors close on 31 May 2026 before we’re gone forever,” the announcement read. “We’re looking forward to seeing you one last time before the doors close forever on this iconic precinct. Thanks for all the memories and helping golfers for so many years.”
