Have Your Say on the Future of the Game: Australian Golf Strategy Enters Review Phase

POSTED ON August 1, 2025 @ 11:36 am

Four years after the launch of the inaugural industry-wide Strategy for Australian Golf, it is time to review and refresh the plan to ensure it remains relevant, ambitious, and aligned with the evolving needs of the sport.

The 2021 Strategy laid strong foundations for a unified approach to golf in Australia. Since then, the game has experienced a period of unprecedented growth, characterized by changing participant demographics and substantial investment in both on-course and off-course facilities.

As part of the next phase of development, a national consultation process has commenced, seeking feedback from across the golf community. All players, fans, administrators, and stakeholders are encouraged to take part in a short online survey, which will help guide the next iteration of the strategy.

“This is a unique opportunity for everyone involved in golf to have a voice in shaping the future of the sport in Australia,” said a spokesperson for Golf Australia. “We want to hear honest, open feedback on what’s working, what isn’t, and where the greatest opportunities lie.”

The survey takes less than five minutes to complete and will remain open until 5:00pm (AEST) Tuesday, 12 August 2025. Participants will be asked about their involvement in the game and invited to share their views on key priorities for the future.

As a gesture of appreciation, those who complete the survey will have the opportunity to enter a draw to win one of five $500 Eftpos Gift Cards. Full competition terms and conditions are available via the survey page.
