McLeod Country Golf Club situated 5 minutes off the Centenary Highway in the hills of Mount Ommaney is 15 minutes from the centre of Brisbane. With an established greens team, and the increase in work, the opportunity for a qualified Greenkeeper looking to take the next step in their career is now available for the first time as the Assistant Course Superintendent.
Reporting directly to the Course Superintendent, the successful applicant will possess and be able to demonstrate exceptional communication, people & leadership skills and be confident in the day to day running of the golf course over the 7 days of operations.
An extensive knowledge of turf management, horticulture, machinery, irrigation and an understanding of the game of golf is essential for the role in delivering excellence. The ability to work with volunteers and guide them through the tasks in a leadership role is important.
Applicant Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a recognised Turf Management Qualification (Certificate III Minimum)
- ACDC Spray Licence Qualification
- Turf Management Agronomy
- High level of chemical knowledge
- Machinery Maintenance & Operations skills
- Knowledge of WHS policies and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of irrigation systems required (Toro Decoder)
