JOB: Assistant Golf Professional – Nudgee Golf Club

The Club

Nudgee Golf Club is seeking to appoint a PGA Professional to provide service to their 1400 Members and the thousands of visitors who play the course each year. Nudgee is located 25 minutes north of the Brisbane CBD, easily accessible from the Gateway Motorway. The club is currently undergoing an exciting redevelopment, with a new 36-hole course including a driving range, chipping green and putting green due for completion in mid to late 2022.

The successful applicant for this position must be experienced in Golf Operations and the use of Mi Club Software to set up timesheets and competitions. The applicant must be well presented, display excellent communication skills, be honest and reliable, organised, self-motivated with a strong work ethic and has a willingness to learn.

The following operations will form part of the responsibilities of the successful applicant:

The collection of Green Fees, Cart Hire Fees, Beverage revenue
Golf Shop Revenue – incl merchandise soft & hardware sales, fitting days
Administration of club competitions – responsible for educating and enforcing the etiquette and rules of golf and so assist members to enjoy the game
Starting and coordinating competition fields
Taking Corporate/Social Club bookings and overseeing the delivery of these events
Assist in the promotion of the club and its facilities

Minimum Opening Hours:

7 days a week from 5.30am to 6pm (closed Christmas Day). The position will be full-time based on 38 hours per week and will include weekend and public holiday shifts.

Position Remuneration/Entitlements:

The successful applicant will be employed full-time by the Nudgee Golf Club under the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020. Salary $62K

There is also the ability to coach outside rostered hours for a PGA Professional (80:20 split)

It is anticipated that upon the completion of the course development, demand for lessons and other services will increase and therefore a constant review of structure will occur to the betterment of the successful applicant.
