JOB: Assistant Manager – Wyong Golf Club (NSW)
Who we are
Wyong Golf Club is situated on the beautiful NSW Central Coast, occupying approximately 65 acres of pristine land and only a 15-minute drive from the M1 Pacific Motorway, Wyong exit.
At Wyong Golf Club we pride ourselves on delivering the best service and experience to our customers and do everything we can to make sure our customers leave happy.
We have a mixture of members and guests from the golfing community and general public. We aim to please in all aspects of the Club.
Main Duties
- Reporting to the General Manager/CEO
- Management of the daily operation of the Bar/s, including all gaming facilities.
- Management of restaurant operations, functions and events.
- Oversight of all staff and service delivery, ensuring required services are being provided through entire club.
- Daily Responsibility for cash management, including cash counting and float preparation.
- Regular checks and oversight with regard to inventory management including beverage & food stock, ordering of required items, receipt of invoices, stock delivery and stocktake.
- Provide support to the General Manager with administrative duties such as procurement, HR, governance, contractor management and financial control.
- Develop strong and productive relationships with all key stakeholders, including; members, customers, staff, sub committees and the board of directors.
- Management of security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State & Local legislations and regulations including OLGR, WHS and AML/CTF compliance.
- Work Health & Safety responsibilities
- Handle all escalated customer queries and complaints
- Overview and understanding of Golf Operations and Agronomic practices
Position Objective
This position is for a full-time Assistant Manager. The position’s overall objective is to manage and supervise the daily delivery of clubhouse operations as set down by the Board of Directors or General Manager. To provide support to the General Manager and be in the acting General Manager when required. To assist in the implementation of the day-to-day running of the operation aiming for continuous improvement of the clubhouse and business.
The Person
The position is ideal for someone who has great knowledge of food and beverage operations and/or practices, willing to learn and develop their skills with a goal of progressing their career and personal development. High standards of customer service are essential for this role. This person needs to be a team player whilst possessing the skills to work as an individual. They will take pride in their work and continually set high standards for the club and your peers.
Essential Requirements
- Previous management experience in a similar role with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Able to work weekends and nights.
- RSA, RCG competency cards are essential
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Immaculate personal presentation
- Proven business acumen in a similar role, which may include; finance, membership, marketing, promotions, procurement, HR etc
- Proven ability in managing and directing staff.
- Must have the skillset to identify and manage various issues that may arise during a designated shift.
- Must have an understanding of all Microsoft applications.
- Must possess strong communication and organisation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of current trends with in club operations.
Desired Requirements
- Previous experience in using EBET, MiClub, Senpos
- Previous experience and/or understanding of the golf industry or club industry
- Tertiary qualifications
- Excellent computer literacy skills
