Muirfield Golf Club is a traditional Members golf club, nestled in the Hills District of Sydney, at North Rocks. Known as one of Sydney’s friendliest golf and community clubs, Muirfield is not only an active golfing hub for the 1,000 strong playing membership, but also for the surrounding community.
Muirfield Golf Club is looking for a motivated Events & Membership Co-Ordinator, to manage the functions held at the Club, and engage with the Membership. The Club is about to embark on an exciting development journey, which will see Muirfield transformed into a destination golf and community Club.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the Clubs’ functions and membership strategies through to the new era of Muirfield.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Events & Membership Co-Ordinator will fulfill the following qualities:
The Role
The Events & Membership Co-Ordinator will have a clear vision for customer service. They will be responsible for leading and managing the Club’s function activity, as well as maintaining the membership database. The Key responsibilities are the major components of the role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Facilitation – all Club, member and external user group functions delivered in an efficient manner, and according to client instruction and club policy.
- Membership Management – upkeep of the Club’s membership database, for new and existing members.
- Marketing – assisting the General Manager in marketing the Club facilities, for events, membership, and other revenue streams.
- Social Media – Co-ordinating the social media mediums of the Club to ensure the Clubs position within the local community and to help tell the future story of Muirfield Golf Club.
Candidate Qualities:
- Experience working as an events co-ordinator is a definite advantage, but training is provided on Club processes and systems.
- Knowledge of social media and the respective uses.
- Well presented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a motivated team.
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
- Excellent customer service qualities
- An enthusiastic problem-solver
- Possess, or able to immediately achieve, their RSA (Liquor service) and RCG (Gaming) competency certificates.
- Flexibility to work days and weekends, as needed, while ensuring a balanced lifestyle.
- Achieve budgeted targets and strategic goals.
- Ability to co-ordinate with Club staff and contractors to plan and deliver all events held at the Club.
This is a full-time position and a fantastic opportunity, for an enthusiastic candidate to be part of an exciting new era at Muirfield Golf Club.
Salary will be above the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award, and negotiated depending on additional strengths being brought to the role.
