JOB: Finance Manager – 13th Beach Golf Links (Victoria)
Thirteenth Beach Golf Links is an established member-based organisation with over 1,300 members and considered one the premier golfing destinations in the country. It comprises 45 holes and 24 Golf Lodges offering a complete stay and play experience for visitors. A rare opportunity is now available for the role of Finance Manager as the organisation celebrates its 20th anniversary with plans for future expansion and growth.
Leading a small team and reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of the full and half-year statutory financial reports for Thirteenth Beach Golf Links Ltd
- Preparation of monthly financial reports for Board and management
- Preparation of operating and capital budgets
- General software and hardware oversight of the club’s financial and administrative systems including IT networks
- Attend company board meetings and implement policies of the Audit & Risk Committee and Board of directors
- Manage the membership renewal process
- Preparation of employee contracts
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly accounting processes are completed
- Preparation of WorkCover statutory requirements, BAS, Payroll tax
- Bank reconciliations, maintain the asset register and the company’s general ledger
- Liaise with auditors twice a year
- Manage the company’s investments in coordination with the Audit & Risk Committee
- Accounts payable and receivable processing and oversight
- Payroll processing
- Preparation of the financial statements for the Thirteenth Beach Golf Club
- Maintenance of the Thirteenth Beach shareholder register and membership list
- Company Secretary duties in accordance with statutory requirements
What you will bring:
- CA or CPA accreditation, with proven experience in finance roles
- A strong understanding of accounting standards
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Attention to detail and a drive to succeed
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with department managers, providing timely and informative reports
- Experience in the golf industry, while not essential, will be considered to be advantageous, as will experience of Northstar IT system and WageEasy
The remuneration offered will be dependent on skills and experience.
