JOB: Gardiners Run – Manager
Apply your leadership, golf business experience, and commercial approach, to lead the ongoing growth of Gardiners Run Golf Course.
Gardiners Run is the home of golf for Chirnside Park Country Club.
Set in the picturesque Yarra Valley, and only 50 minutes from the centre of Melbourne, Gardiners Run opened for play in May 2014. It provides golf members and public golfers with an 18-hole golf course, a wide variety of practice facilities (fairway, chipping, bunker and putting green), and an intimate clubhouse providing food, beverage, golf shop, locker rooms and associated facilities. The course is enjoying high levels of demand for membership, and public play.
The Country Club is now seeking a dynamic golf business professional to be responsible for all aspects of Gardiners Run.
Working closely with the Country Club’s General Manager and leading a small professional team, your priorities will be to drive growth in activity, revenue, and profit; deliver great golf, social and hospitality experiences; and nurture the increasing membership.

To be considered for the role you are likely to possess the following attributes:
- Active leadership with a focus on delivering outstanding member and public golfer experiences by a high-performing service team.
- Demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of golf play, golf services, golf operations, golf retail, and hospitality.
- Commercial approach, with a record in achieving revenue growth and improved profitability – including the effective use of technology.
You will possess excellent management, financial and organisational skills. Also, you will be a friendly, independent, and motivated person with strong communication and personal skills that match the Club’s culture. A PGA accreditation is highly regarded.
A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, commensurate with the role and your credentials.
The recruitment for this role is being led by WellPlayed Golf Business Consultancy.
Applications close Friday 25 February. Please e-mail your application, including an explanation of how your skills and experience will fulfill the requirements of the role via the tab below.
