Job: General Manager – Cromer Golf Club
With our current General Manager progressing to a new role, Cromer Golf Club is seeking a General Manager to continue the momentum which has built-in recent years. We seek expressions of interest from similarly motivated and progressive candidates.
ABOUT
Cromer Golf Club was established in 1926 on Sydney’s northern peninsula. Located in an attractive bushland setting with views across Narrabeen Lagoon, Cromer GC is recognised as a leading championship course and prestigious private golf club.
With a reputation for friendliness and leadership in diversity Cromer provides members, visitors and corporate guests with leading PGA professionals, tuition programs, and a broad range of golfing and social amenities through our clubhouse and function centre, café, private function and dining facilities.
Cromer’s strategic focus and investment in our course, infrastructure and member facilities over recent years has created significant momentum which has been enhanced with the increased interest in golf and club membership.
The Role
In our new General Manager, Cromer seeks to engage an energetic leader to build on this momentum and progressive approach in the next phase of our development. The Board is seeking an outstanding candidate with strong commercial acumen balanced with the personality and communication skills that will ensure high levels of member and staff engagement.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strategic, marketing and revenue generation success as well as proven ability to effectively deal with the range of challenges and opportunities required in a multi-faceted business. Adding to strong communication and engagement skills with members, staff, business partners and the community the role requires effective financial, information technology, business and people management across all operational and service functions.
Significantly, the successful applicant will also present and be able to execute an effective sales, marketing and revenue generation strategy with a particular focus on member engagement with the club, membership growth and continued investment in the strategic development of Cromer’s course and full range of facilities.
While not a pre-requisite of the role, experience within the hospitality and/or registered club industries will be viewed favourably.
