Flinders Golf Club is seeking a professional and enthusiastic General Manager for our historic golf club which offers a stunning coastal golf experience.

Flinders Golf Course is highly regarded and unquestionably a hidden gem. Its MacKenzie history, stunning coastal views, the conditioning of the course, the challenge to score well, the ease of walking the course and the economy of duration to play are key attributes that differentiate the golf course on the Mornington Peninsula. There is an old-world charm about this seaside gem, which is not surprising as golf has been played here for 120 years. Today the Club has over 1,000 members, a growing number of green fee players, and is closely connected with the community.

The role of the General Manager is to oversee the Club and to manage the multitude of factors that retain and improve the magnificence of the Flinders Golf Club course, Flinders Bowling green, the Clubhouses and amenities and ensure its appeal to members and guests. The General Manager leads and is committed to the Club’s Vision, Purpose, and Values.

This role would be ideal for either:

An aspiring person who wishes to develop skills across all management and leadership areas, or

An experienced manager wishing to enjoy a sea change and great work environment.

What does the role look like?

Leading a passionate team to deliver a stunning coastal golf experience.

Grow the golf membership base and green fee-paying players.

Work closely with the General Committee and Sub Committeees to execute the Clubs Strategic Plan.

Planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans.

Back-of-house management, including stock management and rostering.
