Hawks Nest Golf Club is a superb 18-hole golf course located 50 km north of Newcastle and has been described by Australian golf professional Craig Parry as a hidden gem and one of the best courses in NSW.

Located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, set in a magnificent bushland setting, the Hawks Nest area offers a championship golf course with a sea-change lifestyle environment for the successful applicant.

The role

Reporting to the Board, you will have the club’s best interest at heart and bring a strong business management approach to the conduct of the Club’s affairs, excellent governance, a high level of professionalism with a focus on being part of a team environment, providing quality products and services for our 800 golfing members, 3500 social members, the local community, and visitors to the area.

Demonstrated leadership and people skills as well as a friendly, personal approach are necessary to gain the respect of staff, contractors, members, and visitors as is being able to work with all levels to have a professional, happy and functional workplace.

Financial management capability including achieving KPI’s, budgeting, cost control and profit generation are also important aspects of the role.

A minimum of five years’ experience as a General Manager of a medium to large corporation or in a senior management role in a Licensed Club environment is sought and tertiary qualifications would be well regarded.

A competitive salary package is negotiable and assistance with relocation is offered. It would be expected that the successful candidate would relocate to the local area.
