JOB: General Manager – Titirangi Golf Club (NZ)

POSTED ON February 1, 2024 @ 8:11 am

About

Titirangi Golf Club (Titirangi) is one of the top 10  courses in New Zealand and is the only New Zealand course designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie. It is admired as a prestigious, yet accessible and welcoming club with a positive culture, a rich history, and an enviable pedigree. In keeping with the prestige, principles, and reputation of Dr MacKenzie, we strive to present New Zealand’s premier club, and course for the enjoyment of our members, sponsors, and guests.

The role

Titirangi is now looking for a new General Manager who can provide ongoing leadership to run the club across all facets of its operations. The new manager will support the Vision for the club (outlined in the Vision 2030 statement). This will ensure our systems and governance provide the foundation for future growth, that we renew, maintain, and build on our MacKenzie-class infrastructure while ensuring we have the resources for the future of the club, and maintaining a strong, vibrant, and diverse membership. By combining these elements, we will strive to provide “the best of golf lives here” experience for our members, sponsors, and guests.

The General Manager position is a hands-on role dealing with all aspects of club operations, covering the core club administration (membership, property, finance, maintenance, board, regulatory etc) along with managing the teams providing golf operations (shop, tournaments, tee bookings etc), course (preparation, maintenance, and development) and hospitality (bar and kitchen).

The position is supported by a management team, including the Head Greenkeeper, Golf Director, Office Manager, Hospitality Manager and Property Manager. The General Manager reports directly to the Club Captain and the Governing Board of the club.

We are looking for a candidate who can provide these functions to the club in a way that supports the Board, its 2030 vision, and the staff, members, sponsors, and guests who come to enjoy our great facilities so that we can continue to manage and improve on what Titirangi Golf Club is today.

The Club will be providing a competitive salary package commensurate with the role, responsibilities and candidate experience/capability.

To receive the full details on the role, please provide your CV and details to application@titirangigolf.co.nz by 29 February.

James Downey

Club Captain
