JOB: Golf Administrator – Avondale Golf Club
Avondale Golf Club was founded in 1926 and is a private Member’s club, located in Pymble, on the Upper North Shore of Sydney.
Avondale Golf Club is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to start on a part-time basis, with the opportunity for full-time work. Reporting to the Manager Golf, Membership & Marketing, the purpose of this role is to assist in the smooth operation of the Club’s golfing activities in which satisfaction of our membership is the highest priority.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain the Club’s MiClub computerised golf competition system and website
- Prepare and manage timesheets, competition and leaderboard setups
- Provide support for the Captain, Lady Captain and Match Committee
- Attend Match Committee meetings and work closely with the Golf Manager and Chair on agendas, minutes and key action items
- Assist in the organising and management of all Corporate Golf Days
- Assist in the production of the annual fixture book
- Assist in the management of Pennant Hosting Days
- Assist with the running of the Club’s special golf events including the Avondale Amateur
- Other activities are required from time to time to enable the smooth operation of the Club’s golfing activities
Key Skills
Key skills required by the position are:
- Proficient in MiClub (preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Extensive oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with attention to details
- Flexibility with the ability to work weekends
Education & Qualification Requirements
The successful candidate will preferably possess:
- An understanding of golf and the private golf club environment
- Qualification in Sport or Golf Management is preferred but not required
- Hold or acquire an RSA Competency Card
- Hold or acquire a Working with Children Certificate is mandatory
