About us:
Situated on one of Sydney’s iconic headlands, Long Reef Golf Club is a links-style Member Club with public access to the Golf Course outside of the Member exclusive times. We are a unique club that boasts an active playing Membership of over 950 Playing Members, 2700 House Members, 25-30 Corporate/Charity golf events and over 95 Weddings each year. Our beachfront Clubhouse operates a waterfront café and bar 7 days a week open to our Members, Guests and the general public.
About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Golf & Corporate Manager will manage the Club’s golf operations including Members Golf, Corporate Golf events, timesheet and competition set up and enhancing and delivering the Club’s corporate partnerships.
The Golf & Corporate Manager works closely with the contracted Professional Shop staff (Teed Up Golf) to ensure the efficient running of all Member and Social golf events as well as managing green fee and cart budgets and marketing opportunities.
In partnership with the Membership Manager and Teed Up Golf, the Golf & Corporate Manager will continue to develop the Club’s Rookies, Beginner, Junior and Elite Junior programs which will be delivered by Teed Up Golf’s PGA Professionals.
The Club has built an extensive Corporate Partnership program over the past four years from local businesses to large corporations partnering with the Club for further business opportunities. The emphasis of this role will be to continue growth in this area as well as exceed the current partner’s expectations.
The Club actively encourages promotion from within the business and provides opportunities for furthering education. Working closely with a relatively young team and having an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the Club’s operations will provide great future opportunities.
About you:
- You have a passion for golf and people.
- You are a highly motivated individual with strong time management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills. The successful applicant will interact regularly with Members and guests and will need to be engaging, friendly with an outgoing personality and sense of humour.
- A hands-on, can-do approach
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Have a working knowledge of golf and club operations systems and POS – experience with MiClub an advantage
- Extensive knowledge of the game of golf and holding a Club Membership or PGA Membership will be highly regarded.
- Having a background in Sports Management/Business Management is an advantage but not necessary
- Ability to be creative in order to develop and drive the growth of the business
- You have full Australian working rights
- The ability to work varied shifts from early mornings to afternoons, including weekends
