JOB: Golf Course Grounds person/ 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice – Beaudesert Golf Club (QLD)

Beaudesert Golf Club is a picturesque country club located in the heart of the expanding Scenic Rim of South East Queensland. Beaudesert Golf Club offers a complete golfing experience. It is still a growing club, in a growing community. The golf course has a 5 year development plan.

Beaudesert Golf Club host a sound group of members along with many visiting social groups for a challenging round of Golf

The Role

  • Mechanical maintenance on golf course equipment
  • Operating Machinery and ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery, including mowing equipment;
  • Irrigation maintenance;
  • Pest identification and control;
  • Thoroughly assist in all safety training needs and procedures;
  • Work with the Superintendent and other team members to constantly improve the golf course, club grounds, maintenance facility and safety programs
  • General Green keeping duties as instructed and perform any other reasonable request within your range of competence as required by your supervisor.
  • Assisting with the setup of Golf Course for competition rounds and general play.

 
Ideally you would have a mechanical aptitude along with golf course or sporting field experience. A strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment is essential. You would be able to perform all facets of golf course maintenance including but not limited to:

  • Mower Service and Repairs
  • Mowing of all turf surface’s
  • Chemical and Fertilizer applications
  • Irrigation repair and maintenance
  • Bunker maintenance
  • Confident with the use of small engine equipment, chainsaw etc.

 
Our team have a requirement to work a rotating weekend roster as required and directed by the Golf Course Superintendent
