The Venue

Collier Park is one of WA’s busiest public golf courses. We offer a diverse range of services including 27 holes of golf, mini golf, an outdoor driving range, and a bustling café and bar operation.

We are embarking on a major redevelopment in late 2025, transforming Collier Park into a vibrant community hub with new facilities including a restaurant/cafe, a double-story driving range with advanced technology, dedicated function spaces, padel tennis courts, a new retail shop, office space, and an all-abilities playground.

As part of our redevelopment, we are on the hunt for a passionate Golf Experience & Engagement Officer to join the team and play a key role in ensuring every golfer—from first timers to regulars—enjoys an awesome experience at our venue.

The Role

This role challenges the norms in golf and seeks to put the customer first, bringing technical expertise to all customers and our team, adopting the “all golf is golf” motto and delivering memorable experiences to keep our customers coming back for more.

Specifically we are looking for someone to:

• Create a welcoming environment for all guests, from their first step into the shop to their last putt on the green
• Advise customers on the best golf equipment for their game, contributing to the growth of retail sales and service
• Mentor and train staff with a focus on the technical elements of golf hardware
• Mentor PGA Pathway Associates (if PGA accredited)
• Ensuring our customer experience excels throughout our construction and redevelopment phases, including safe and clear thoroughfare, pace of play and on-course activations designed to surprise and delight. [GN1]
• Continue our great relationships with playing groups, PGA coaches and Como Golf Academy keeping them informed and connected
• Oversee and conduct Golf repair services and provide technical guidance to staff where necessary
• Lead and conduct club fitting and advice sessions
• Be the champion of our CX service standards, training and supporting the team to ensure delivery across our golf operations team

Once the redevelopment has been completed and new venue is open

All the above, minus the construction element, plus:

• Oversee and support the coordination coaching services, working with our coaching contractors to ensure the service delivery is first class including booking and administration services
• Build a strong service culture at the 48-bay driving range; ensuring our customers can easily engage and navigate our new technology, order and receive food and beverage services with ease and chat to an expert about all thing golf including retail products and additional services on offer
• Continue the development and growth of golfer engagement strategies, events and activations across the venue

About you

We’re looking for someone with passion for all things golf. If you’re the one who excitedly tells everyone about your new golf bag or wants to demonstrate your new putter and then encourages everyone to come play with you – we’d love to speak with you.

Ideally you:

• Are super friendly and can get people excited about golf
• Have proven experience within the Golf industry
• Possess extensive knowledge of golf products (incl. Hardware, apparel and consumables)
• Can undertake club repairs and conduct club fitting sessions using Trackman technology
• Are a PGA Pro (highly desirable but not essential)
• Have excellent communication and time management skills
• Have an energetic and vibrant approach with the ability to bring new ideas to life
• Current First Aid, Working with Children Check and Police Check or willing to obtain these prior to employment
