Who are we:

Sandy Golf Links is operated by The Royal Melbourne Golf Club and is situated in Sandringham alongside the Australian Golf Centre, Golf Australia, and PGA of Australia.

The Sandy site offers world-class golfing and driving range facilities, as well as our licensed café offering both inside and alfresco terraces cater to our guests with everything from grab and go, group events, and an overall casual dining experience.

At Sandy our 18-hole links provide a true Sandbelt experience for the public golfer from the beginner to a single-figure handicapper, we are a family environment offering features of our putting course and a world-class driving range.

Due to the continued growth and needs of our customers, we are looking for a Golf Manager to join our wing team.

The role:

Reporting into the General Manager, we’re looking for an individual who can coordinate all aspects of Golf Operations, who can drive excellence in our golf experience, and deliver growth through your promotional expertise to showcase everything Sandy has to offer.

As a critical member of our leadership team, this position is chartered with the opportunity to make the business their own, to grow the business performance, and create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for golfers of all levels while maintaining the integrity and sustainability of the golf facility.

You will be the face of our golfing experience and the main point of contact for the continued growth and reputation of our golfing facilities.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong management, business development and performance achievement, administration, time management, relationship building, organisation and people development skills.

As a leader, you’ll help to set the standards by displaying a passion for customer experience and golf and demonstrate a high level of commitment to deliver an exceptional level of service to our customers & guests. You will be motivated and hardworking with the “can do attitude” which will see you thrive in the role.

We’re looking for…

Previous experience in a leadership role within the Golfing Industry in a customer-centric fast past environment.
Highly regarded, energetic and self-motivated individual who brings creativity and ideas to the table.
Excellent communication & attention to detail
A leader who thrives in developing employees through training & upskilling
Strong work ethic, passion, and a genuine love of golf to deliver exceptional service standards.
Demonstrate excellent time & resource management skills.
Use initiative and manage daily workloads to ensure smooth operations of the business.
An advocate and achievement-driven individual who is passionate about growth and agile for change.
Demonstrated budget control and tracking in all areas of operations.
PGA Professional accreditation is highly regarded.
Demonstrated Golf and Facilities Management experience preferred
Available to work a rotating roster across a 7-day week including evenings and weekends.
