JOB: Golf Operations Assistant – Indooroopilly Golf Club (QLD)

The Club

Established in 1926 and located 8Km from the Brisbane CBD, Indooroopilly Golf Club provides exceptional golf facilities over 321 acres surrounded on three sides by the Brisbane River. Delivery of stage 1 in late 2021 of a retirement village development is the catalyst for significant capital investment in both course and clubhouse.

With an exclusive membership enjoying 36 holes, teaching facilities and prestigious reciprocal arrangements, the Club is now seeking to engage a suitably qualified and passionate senior Golf Operations Assistant to continue to position the department at the forefront of the golf industry.

Reporting directly to the Golf Operations Manager, this role provides an opportunity for career growth and leadership.

Your purpose

The Golf Operations team is responsible for the daily running of competition and social fixtures, practice facility operations, cart fleet management, club and bag storage, events and equipment repairs. Under the Retail Manager, the team also provides outstanding service to members, guests and visitors, assisting with receiving, recording and labelling inventory and stock control.

As a senior team member your primary purpose is to:

• Lead in all aspects of the Golf Operations and Retail activities with a focus on providing exceptional customer satisfaction
• Utilise your previous golf experience to assist with golf rulings, operations and product knowledge
• Assist with administration, sales and marketing of all golf related activities.

38 hours per week to be worked over a seven-day weekly roster. Rostered days off will be consistent where possible but may vary from time to time. Regular weekend and public holiday work is expected.
