JOB: Golf Operations Assistant – Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club

Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club is situated in the western suburbs of Melbourne, approximately 30 minutes away from the CBD. Designed by Greg Norman and Bob Harrison, the course boasts an array of links like features and ranks inside the top 100 courses within Australia.

Home to 700 active members, the club prides itself on the ability to cater to all membership and lifestyle categories. The club’s facility includes an 18 hole golf course, driving range, short game areas, swimming pool, gym and tennis courts, which are managed by various operational areas.

The club operates as a semi-private membership, allowing public and guest play on limited days throughout the week.

Tasked with a role in the Pro Shop, this exciting opportunity will see you deliver a high-end club experience to members and guests. Reporting to the Head Professional, this is a part-time position that requires weekend work.

The following skills and experience are required for this position:

  • Computer and POS literate
  • Great work ethic, with the willingness to be part of a team environment
  • Proactive nature with a desire to improve and grow in your career

Duties & Responsibilities as prescribed by the Golf Operations Manager. include but not limited to;

  • Administer member competitions
  • Manage social golf tee times whilst monitoring dress standards
  • Supervise pace of play (as needed)
  • Maintain the Golf Shop to a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness and presentation
  • Assist with Golf Operation duties
  • Any other tasks as deemed appropriate

This position is responsible for providing an excellent and consistent level of service in order to maximise member and guest satisfaction. While golf and retail experience would be advantageous, a willingness to work and an enthusiastic attitude are equally important.
