JOB: Golf Operations Attendant Assistant – Pacific Golf Club

Pacific Golf Club is seeking a passionate and proactive PGA Associate for the role of Golf Operations Attendant Assistant.
Nestled in the hills of Carindale only 20 minutes from the heart of Brisbane City, Pacific Golf Club is currently undertaking exciting and significant construction works. These works include a brand-new clubhouse with indoor golf simulators, a new mini golf course and state-of-the-art practice facilities. The diversity in Pacific’s new facilities will offer unique development opportunities.
An exciting opportunity exists within our Golf Operations Team as a Golf Operations Attendant. In this role, you will be the face of the Club, acting as the first point of contact in the Golf Shop for all member, guest, and visitor enquiries. You will be working in a dynamic, busy environment, where a strong focus will be on providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Acting as the first point of contact for members, guests and visitors who visit, call or email the Golf Shop.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with member and visitor enquiries in relation to golf bookings, coaching services, equipment and retail enquiries and club event queries.
• General day to day Golf Shop duties and administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, receiving and replying to email enquiries, retail merchandising and cart fleet management.
• Assist with competition bookings and timesheet management.
• Assist with all golf course directives and club regulations.
• Assist the Director of Golf with necessary administrative set-up and preparation for Club events from time to time.
• Generally, be part of a high performing team and assisting with a wide variety of administrative and operational tasks.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts over a 7-day roster with weekend work being essential.
Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes:
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a hands-on environment.
• Positive and proactive approach with a friendly and welcoming personality.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Have an understanding of Golf Operations.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in the MS Office suite of programs.
• Experience in MiClub software and systems is advantageous.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and varied tasks.
• The desire to work as an integral team member, but also the ability to work autonomously and without direct supervision when required.
Employment Conditions and Hours of Work:
The club is seeking a Golf Operations Attendant on a Permanent Part Time basis, with a minimum of 25-30 Hours work. This role has the potential to turn in to a Full Time position as the club’s redevelopment continues and new golf facilities are completed.
Work hours and remuneration will be discussed based on qualifications and experience with the successful applicant.
Coaching opportunities outside of rostered golf shop hours will be available to increase earning opportunities.
