Golf Operations Manager and ProShop Assistant

Established in 1927, Glenelg Golf Club has steadily risen through the ranks to become one of Australia’s premier golfing facilities with the golf course consistently ranked in the top 40 golf courses by Golf Australia and Golf Digest magazines.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head Professional & Director of Golf Operations, the successful applicant will work alongside the Director of Golf to deliver the Golf Operations duties and assist with the day-to-day operation of the Pro Shop and associated member services.

Our staff are professional, engaged and recognised for their people skills and talent. We work closely with and are well supported by the Club’s management team, sharing a mutual goal in developing and promoting the game at all levels.

Providing and maintaining a positive environment for members and fellow staff is essential in nurturing a healthy and collaborative culture at the Club for all to enjoy.

Responsibilities

Pro shop retail services – Swiftpos POS software
Pro Shop competition management system – MiClub software
Golf Operations – annual program and fixtures.
Competition & Event Management
Reciprocal and Group bookings
Marketing and Communication
Member Services
Sales Budgets
Support coaching programs.
Work closely with club management including reporting as required.

Skills and Experience

Personal attributes required include an outgoing personality with exceptional interpersonal skills. An understanding of the game of golf and a background including Golf Operations and retail would be advantageous. The ability to work flexible hours including weekend work is essential.
