The Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club is a 36-hole Golf Club and is pleased to offer a role within the Golf shop team which prides itself on delivering great service to members and guests. The Club has a very active membership with a high number of members and social rounds played each dayThe Golf Shop is independently run by the Head Professional, with a small team of 4 full-time staff as well as a few casual staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and driven Associate Professional to join our team, in a full-time capacity. The role involves all aspects of golf retail and golf operation, as well as coaching and the development of the golf programs.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Head Professional and will be given all the opportunities required to become a future leading PGA Professional.

Key Attributes

Associate Professional – 1st or 2nd year or someone looking to become an associate in 2023
Punctual
Attention to detail
Honest and self-motivated
Strong Customer service
Computer literate (ideally MiClub booking skills and timesheet setup) Although not required as we will teach on the job.
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to work both days on the weekend

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Delivering strong customer service
Coaching- Private lessons, golf clinics and Junior coaching
Club repairs
Golf equipment sales
Maintenance of golf carts and range collection.
Administering member competitions, guest check-in and assisting in corporate events.
Handicap and Competition management
All other duties (related to Golf Shop operations) as instructed by the Golf Professional

The successful applicant will be renumerated in line with the Amusement, Recreation and Events Award for their shop hours, we are very busy with retail and commissions are available on sales. Also all coaching fees will be negotiated at the time of the interview.

This position is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to be part of a progressive forward-thinking team. The successful candidate will be rostered both days on the weekend.
