JOB: Greenkeeper – Phillip Island Golf Club
Phillip Island Golf Club is currently seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Senior Qualified Greenkeeper. We will only be considering applicants who have their Sports Turf Management qualification. You will work closely with our experienced course principal, and the rest of the course team to maintain and present the golf course to the highest standard.
You will be responsible for providing support in a range of tasks including training & supervision of employees of a lower grade (experience well regarded but not essential), turf maintenance, equipment operation, course set-up, and general ground maintenance. This is a full-time position, and you will be expected to work 38 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with general maintenance of the golf course, including turf maintenance, equipment operation, and course set-up.
- Assist in ensuring the course is presented to the highest standard at all times.
- Work with the Ground Staff team to ensure that all areas of the golf course are well-maintained and presented.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Attend any training or courses required (if applicable).
Requirements:
- A strong passion for the golf industry and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not essential.
