JOB: Head Teaching Professional – Mount Osmond GC

Founded in 1927, Mount Osmond Golf Club is the premier golf facility in Adelaide’s Eastern suburbs. The course has spectacular panoramic views of the city and the Mt Lofty Ranges along with an iconic heritage listed clubhouse.
The club is seeking a Head Teaching Professional to develop and expand our coaching offering to members and the golfers living in both the Eastern suburbs and Adelaide Hills. The club has a strong membership base of 1,200 members and a strong culture of offering quality coaching. The unique location opens an opportunity for the right person to strengthen our coaching business.
About the role
The successful applicant for this position must be a PGA of Australia Member, ideally with a Certified status under the PGA’s ACE Program. As well as preferably also being advanced in Coaching and Game Development as an indicator of engagement in ongoing training and growth.
Reporting to the Golf Operations Manager, the successful applicant will have a passion for the game and junior golf, be an excellent communicator, and have the drive to deliver exceptional service standards. The applicant must have a passion for coaching the game and be well presented, honest and reliable, organised, self-motivated with a good work ethic and possess a willingness to learn.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- To provide outstanding service to members, guests and visitors.
- To deliver specialist golf coaching services to the members, guests, and visitors.
- To plan and develop lesson programmes for individuals, groups and squads.
- To perform a mentoring role for other golf coaches and MPP Associate employed by the Club.
- To provide club fitting services for members, guests and visitors.
Remuneration
The successful candidate will receive a contracted role with Mount Osmond Golf Club, have access to all practise facilities, course (when available) to perform on-course lessons, range balls, and marketing resources through the club’s website/social media and notice board areas.
Mount Osmond Golf Club has the following practice facilities:
- Driving range with grass and synthetic grass tees
- Practice bunker
- Chipping green
- Putting green
- Undercover teaching shelter.
Lesson and bonus commissions will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Shop hours, if required, are as per Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020.
Commencement is available immediately for the successful applicant.
