Royal Perth Golf Club (the Club) is one of Australia’s premium private golf clubs located only 5 minutes from the Perth CBD and situated adjacent to the Swan River in South Perth.

Established in 1895, the Club is the oldest golf club in Perth and has a well maintained 18 hole golf course, practice facilities, modern plant and equipment and a large Clubhouse with multiple function rooms.

The Club is seeking to appoint an experienced Golf & Membership Manager to administer its busy calendar of golf competitions and a membership base of over 1,600.

The Manager Golf & Membership will be responsible for the coordination, functional management and leadership of golf and member services of the Club whilst ensuring the highest standards of members, guests and visitor satisfaction is maintained.

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Club and its activities to provide informed support, advice and promotion to members, guests and visitors;
• Oversee the Golf Shop Operation;
• Develop and maintain knowledge of the rules of golf and provide technical advice to the Club’s handicappers, relevant committees and members;
• Introduce initiatives that will optimise operations and processes of the Club’s golf and member services;
• Monitor, deliver and report on Golf and Membership Strategic Plan matters;
• Liaise with the General Manager and Accountant to establish the budget for the Golf and Membership operations;
• Monitor financial information and take corrective action to ensure the budget is achieved and managed;
• Achieve sales growth in accordance with budgets; and
• Maintain financial records and provide reports as required.

Candidates will hold a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, intermediate level of computer literacy and demonstrable experience in golf administration and club operations.

This is a salaried position that will require regular weekend work. Excellent working conditions are offered, and a competitive remuneration package will be negotiated.
