The Club

Casino Golf Club is in the Northern Rivers, NSW and has an 18-holes golf course, backing onto Casino’s local Mini Rail and Jabiru Geneebeinga Wetlands. We have 2000 members and 450 golf members.

We are seeking to fill multiple roles. Qualified greenkeeper / Grounds person / Apprentice.

The Role(s)

• Operating Machinery and ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery, including mowing equipment.
• Irrigation maintenance.
• Thoroughly assist in all safety training needs and procedures.
• Work with the Superintendent and other team members to constantly improve the golf course, club grounds, maintenance facility and safety programs
• General Green keeping duties as instructed and perform any other reasonable request within your range of competence as required by your supervisor.
• Assisting with the setup of Golf Course for competition rounds and general play.

Desirable Requirements:

• Certificate 3 in Sports Turf Management
• Previous Golf Course experience
• Knowledge of the e-Par WPH&S system or other WPH&S systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound Knowledge of standard machinery maintenance
• Must be self-motivated, hardworking and have passion for turf grass management
• Must be willing to be flexible with work hours dependent on course maintenance, corporate events, and weather conditions.
• Be able to work individually or as part of a team
• Must be honest, reliable, and punctual
• Previous experience with renovation equipment
• AC/DC Spray Certification
• Experience with irrigation and minor repairs
• Experience and knowledge of chemical and fertiliser application
• Current Senior First Aid certification
• Mechanical maintenance on golf course equipment
• Pest identification and control.

We are offering two full-time positions of 38 hours per week, over a 7-day roster.  We offer other benefits such as providing staff lunch, uniforms, and golf membership to the club.

Our team has a requirement to work a rotating weekend roster as required and directed by the Golf Course Superintendent
