JOB: OCM Golf – Golf Course Shaper

POSTED ON January 7, 2023 @ 11:19 am

About

OCM Golf, is an internationally recognised golf course design and construction firm with offices in Sandringham, Victoria.  We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced shaper or earthmover to join our team to assist with the construction of golf courses around Australia.

The applicant will be required to work both locally and interstate, so the ability and willingness to travel is an essential part of the role (all expenses paid).

OCM Golf have a number of projects planned to commence in 2023 and 2024, so this is an exciting time to join the company.

The successful candidate must be:

  • Highly skilled operating heavy machinery including dozers and excavators and whilst experience shaping golf courses is highly desirable, it isn’t essential.
  • Be comfortable working in a team environment alongside other staff and contractors but at the same time be able to work autonomously as required
  • Have strong leadership skills
  • Have a strong work ethic and an interest in learning new skills required for the role.

The role will involve working under the direction of OCM course architects and projects managers and whilst this sometimes will involve interpreting designs off plans, more often will involve verbal and drawn instructions out in the field.

Salary will be negotiated based on skills and experience.

Please send written applications including a cover letter and resume to Rob Swift at rob@ocm.golf by COB 25th January, or call 0438 165 177 if you would like further information.
