JOB: Operations Manager – Wagga Wagga Country Club
The Wagga Wagga Country Club was established in 1930. It is located on the banks of Lake Albert with a beautiful 18 hole golf course, approximately 7km from Wagga CBD and includes the clubhouse, pro shop and other associated golfing assets.
The Club has a strong membership base with over 1200 golf members and 1000 social members and it operates 7 days a week to service members and their guests. Numerous golfing events are hosted throughout the year, including the multi-award-winning Pro-Am.
The Club exudes a fantastic and friendly atmosphere that is enjoyed by staff and members alike. We provide bar and lounge facilities, great coffee and snacks, a gaming room, restaurant (contracted) and function facilities that all overlook the course and Lake Albert.
As Operations Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the club including:
- Staff management, staff training and rostering;
- The implementation of all practices and processes as determined by the Club industry to ensure efficient club operations;
- Responsibility for ensuring all members and guests have an exceptional experience whilst visiting the club
- Stock control and ordering; and
- Working with all contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
JOB CRITERIA
- Appropriate academic/trade qualifications;
- Experience in successfully leading a team;
- RSA and RCG Certificates;
- Understanding that the role includes night and weekend work;
- Experience in Club or other hospitality management environment;
- Ability to assist in the promotion and marketing of club activities;
- Understanding of financial and commercial information;
- Conflict resolution and problem solving skills;
- Knowledge of WH&S requirements and safe work practices;
- Excellent computer skills and ability to use appropriate software;
- Able to bring innovative ideas and/or new technology to improve the running of the club;
- Respectful of and co-operative with all stakeholders of the club including staff, management, members, guests and Board of Directors.
This is a Senior role within our facility in which you will be reporting to the Secretary/Manager and assisted by two Trainee Managers, administration staff and bar staff, all under governance from the Board of Directors.
An excellent salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant which includes 5 weeks annual leave, mobile phone and laptop plus support with further industry accredited training.
