JOB: Operations Manager – Windross Farm Golf Course (NZ)

Windross Farm Golf Course, one of the premier golf facilities in New Zealand and located 25km south of the Auckland CBD, is looking for an Operations Manager to join their leadership team.

The Role
Working closely with the General Manager and formally recognised as second-in-charge, your essential functions will be:
- Selling, planning and executing Corporate Golf events and Member/guest events incorporating golf.
- Supporting Management to drive and sustain revenue growth in the hospitality, green fee and golf retail areas.
- Responsible for improving work procedures, creating efficiencies and enhancing the overall quality of service and facility presentation.
Overseeing Café and bar operations and responsible for the financial performance of these key operational areas. - Responsible for Buildings Warrants of Fitness and general repairs and maintenance.
- Assist General Manager with managing and enhancing staff performance by leading by example and supporting the reviews process.
- Becomes the first point of contact for all inquiries and operations in the absence of General Manager.
- Is the Workplace Health & Safety representative for the administration team and assists with the investigation/mitigation of identified risks.
The successful applicant will be:
- Tertiary qualified in Hospitality and/or Sport/Leisure sector.
- Possess experience in a Senior Management role.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a small team of professionals. - Have a high attention to detail and an eagerness lead and implement change.
The ideal work week will be Sunday to Thursday – daytime hours predominant. This role has substantial scope for growth within our organisation.
