JOB: Participation Officer – Golf Australia (QLD)

Golf Australia is the governing body for golf in Australia.
Our goal is to raise the level of interest and participation in the game from grass roots golfers through to the elite levels, spectators, volunteers, and associated bodies. Our key responsibilities include conducting national tournaments and championships including the Australian Opens, managing the Rules of Golf and the national handicap system, and developing programs and opportunities to engage as many people as possible into the game.
About the Role:
The Participation Officer will provide ongoing delivery and support to the Golf Participation team across key strategic areas including: MyGolf (juniors), Get into Golf (adults), Junior Golf Queensland and the Community Instructor Program.
Specifically, the individual will deliver, facilitate, and support a wide range of participation programs or events that help foster the growth of golf in Queensland.

Your Experience:
To be considered for this position you will need to have demonstrated experience in sport programs and driving participation. An interest in game development and the ability to engage and influence within an organisation is desirable.
In addition, you will have availability to spend some time at tournaments/events throughout metropolitan Brisbane, regional QLD and interstate, and the ability to work non-traditional hours such as weekends and evenings.
