Reports and is accountable to the Director of Golf.

Lake Karrinyup Country Club is recognised internationally as one of Australia’s leading championship courses and private golf clubs.

PRIMARY ROLE

The Junior Golf Program Professional is responsible for the facilitation, tuition, administration and delivery of the LKCC Junior Golf Program whilst ensuring the highest standards of members, guests and visitor satisfaction is maintained.

The Club offers the junior program to all golfers (male and female) from the age 6 to 18 years of age. The objective is to instruct Junior Members in the playing and etiquette of the game of golf and in the rules and regulations of the Club, in an enjoyable and supported environment; with a vision for Junior Members and as they move to adulthood, and pathway to seek election as a member. This role is best suited to an experienced PGA Professional who is passionate about Junior Golf Development.

The opportunity and role are broken up into two parts shown as A & B.

Permanent Part -Time position of Junior Golf Program Professional set as Individual Flexible Agreement (IFA) across 16 hours per week on a Sunday (8 hours Teaching), Monday (4 hours Admin 100%) & Tuesday (4 hours Admin 50% /Teaching 50%) and within the four (4) government public school terms.School Holidays will see the rostered hours converted to 16 hours across Monday (8 hours admin 100%) & Tuesday (8 hours admin 70% / teaching 30%). The ability to complete administrative tasks off-site can also be negotiated.

  1. The opportunity for a subcontracting teaching relationship to be established providing individual tuition to the LKCC Membership and Juniors as per a commission agreement and rolling weekly diary. This agreement will be negotiated, structured and aligned to all PGA Professional agreements at LKCC with the expectation of being available for all male, female and junior members.

ROLE (A)

  • All administrative arrangements and tasks have been undertaken to ensure a successful LKCC Junior Golf Program is coordinated and delivered while keeping all staff and parents informed with clear communications.
  • LKCC Entry Level Pathway Program (6yo – 14yo) administered and delivered within the relevant Sundays of the four (4) public school terms and set between structured Tuition and on course (North Course) guidance for up to 40 children.
  • North Course, Intermediate & Advanced Junior Category Tuition Programs & Course Play administered and delivered for within the relevant Sundays of the 4 public school terms.
  • Structured after School Tuition Programs administered and delivered for the North Course, Intermediate & Advanced Junior Categories on relevant Tuesdays within the 4 public school terms.
  • Coordinate parent volunteer rosters to assist with weekly on course supervision during playing opportunities across all pathway program categories.
  • Club rules and regulations, Rules of Golf, Golf Etiquette and appropriate induction education is provided to Juniors and Parents via regular structured information sessions.
  • School Holiday program initiatives raised for approval by the Director of Golf and delivered according to budget.
  • Assist the Director of Golf and Membership Coordinator with recommendations for category elevation from Entry Level > North Course > Intermediate > Advanced Junior Membership.
  • Assist the Membership Coordinator with information required when a junior member is nominating for an elected membership category.
  • Work closely with the Golf Coordinator around timesheet management, bookings and junior pennant requirements.
  • Work closely with the Membership Coordinator and Accounts Team for the timely process of administrating charges for relevant junior golf programs and classes.
  • All established procedures have been followed and other junior development duties as reasonably directed by the Director of Golf and/or Golf Coordinator have been satisfactorily completed in a timely manner.

MANDATORY ATTRIBUTES

  • Accredited PGA Professional
  • Advanced ACE Qualifications are preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience in facilitating, developing and delivering a Junior Golf Program.
  • Sound administrative skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Northstar and MiClub Golf Management Software.
  • Work autonomously but also as part of an integrated and dynamic team
  • To maintain the Club’s exceptional and consistent level of service with a warm and inviting personality.
  • Able to work unsupervised and use initiative.
  • Able to manage time and tasks efficiently.
  • High regard and respect for confidentiality and discretion
