About the Role
Gisborne Golf Club is seeking an energetic, organised, and member‑focused Pro Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy Pro Shop. This hands‑on role sits at the heart of the club and is ideal for someone who loves golf, enjoys retail, and thrives in a customer‑facing environment.
The Pro Shop Manager oversees daily operations, retail management, staff supervision, financial reconciliation, and competition support, ensuring a consistently high‑quality experience for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering outstanding customer service to members and visitors
- Manage daily Pro Shop operations, bookings, and competition check‑ins
- Oversee retail purchasing, stock control, merchandising, and supplier relationships
- Lead and roster Pro Shop staff and casuals
- Handle daily financial reconciliation and reporting
- Support golf operations including competitions, events, and driving range management
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional Pro Shop environment
About You
A confident, reliable, and organised person who enjoys working with people and takes pride in presentation and service.
Essential
- Experience in golf retail, golf operations, or similar customer‑facing roles
- Strong knowledge of golf equipment and the game
- Excellent communication and service skills
- Ability to work weekends and peak periods
- Competence with POS systems and basic reporting
Desirable
- Retail or business qualifications
- Experience with inventory systems or MiScore
- Merchandising and promotional skills
- Golf club repair experience
