JOB: Qualified Greenkeeper – Burleigh Golf Club

Do you enjoy working in a golf environment, are career minded, are capable of working on your own and in a team environment, whilst maintaining a high standard of work performance?

Burleigh Golf Club is located on the Gold Coast and is a Members 18 hole course with ongoing improvements to the Course, we are looking TWO suitable candidates to join us and enjoy working in a team environment.

Qualifications:

Certificate 3 in Sports Turf Management, or has equivalent experience and skills deemed by the employer as suitable for the position. ACDC spray license would be an advantage

Role & Duties

The position reports to the Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent and the role includes:

General mowing duties and maintenance of all golf course surfaces
Golf course setup
Bunker repairs and maintenance
Assist in course construction projects
Keeping up-to-date in knowledge of chemicals/fertilizers that are being applied
Sound knowledge of WPD identification.
Golf course construction experience will be beneficial.
Weekend paid overtime is part of this position on a rotating basis.

To understand and practice OH&S and building safety procedures;
Incorporating safe work practices in job performance
To attend meetings and training as required;
Maintain a courteous, friendly and professional attitude towards co-workers, management and associated groups;
Operate within the scope of Clubs policies and procedures;
Inform or report on any equipment failures, workplace hazards and inappropriate behaviour from customers, suppliers or co-workers;
Maintain open and honest communication with all club personnel.
