The role
At TravisMathew we are looking for a sales & commercial superstar at the absolute top of their game, who exudes entrepreneurship and who can scale a business from the ground up. We believe this opportunity is one rarely seen within the sporting lifestyle apparel industry, and we are calling on the most curious, driven and talented individual to be part of driving the TravisMathew brand across Australia.
The Sales Professional is directly responsible for driving sales and continuing to build the TravisMathew brand across Victoria. This position is responsible for managing existing accounts and prospecting new opportunities whilst attaining quarterly and annual sales goals. They will also be responsible for presenting new ranges in other regions/states during key selling periods and assisting with key sales administration functions and planning.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date account tracking and prospecting document
- Seasonal account visits
- Ensure TravisMathew product is well merchandised and positioned at retail
- Meet quarterly and annual sales targets
- Meet annual new account targets
- Attend seasonal sales meetings
- Attend tradeshows and events
- Maintain sample line and TravisMathew showroom
- Present and manage sales plan for designated region during key sell in period
- Ad hoc duties and projects as required
KEY COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent organisational skills
- Inherent ability to prospect, negotiate and close
- Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to self-motivate
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
- Strong merchandising knowledge
- Engaging presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and deadline driven
- Ability to manage multi-territory responsibility with an emphasis on driving results
- Ability to make decisions independently, or escalate when applicable
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
