Malaysia’s Finest Feted in People’s Choice Awards

POSTED ON May 4, 2019 @ 3:14 pm

Asian Golf Industry Federation Golf Course Facility Members TPC Kuala Lumpur, Kota Permai Golf & Country Club and The Els Club Malaysia were among the big winners in the fourth edition of the ParGolf People’s Choice Awards.

The awards are based on golfers’ selections via an online poll which ran from February 21 to April 3. The top three clubs in each of 12 categories received awards based on the number of votes received.

Suzannah Gun Palmer, ParGolf’s Publisher, said: “The ParGolf People’s Choice Awards continues to serve as a benchmark for the Malaysian golf industry, providing an indication of how golf clubs are perceived by the end-users, namely golfers themselves.

“We congratulate all the award winners and hope this will serve as an impetus for them to continue to strive for excellence across all spheres, from golf course maintenance and clubhouse facilities to F&B and customer service.”

With more than 80 representatives of the golf clubs and other guests in attendance, the presentation ceremony at the Carlsberg Brewery in Shah Alam also served as a lively golf industry gathering.

Kota Permai was the most successful club with six awards, followed by TPC Kuala Lumpur with five. The Els Club Desaru Coast, The Els Club Teluk Datai and Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club, Kota Permai’s sister club, also won more than one award.
