New GM appointed to Metropolitan Golf Club
Metropolitan Golf Club on the famous Sandbelt of Victoria, Australia has appointed their new General manager.
“Michael Burgess is the current General Manager of Sorrento Golf Club, a position he has held for the last six years.”
“During Michael’s time at Sorrento Golf Club, he has enriched staff culture with improved training and ‘buy-in’ to the Club’s strategic direction; prides himself on developing strong connections with members through an engaging and ‘hands-on’ leadership style; successfully formulated and implemented the club’s first Strategic Plan; ensured long term water security through the establishment of a Water Treatment Plant and improved club governance with a new Club Constitution and Equal Opportunity policy.
“Michael holds a GA handicap of scratch, Captained Commonwealth’s winning Division 1 pennant team in 2009 and is a highly motivated, passionate and engaging person.”
Michael starts at Metropolitan in April 2022.
