R&A Chief Executive to Deliver Keynote Address at China Conference

POSTED ON November 4, 2018 @ 9:00 am

Martin Slumbers, Chief Executive of The R&A, will be a keynote speaker at next month’s Sports Connects.

To be staged at Mission Hills, Shenzhen, the biennial event connects more than 300 senior industry executives and provides a gateway to the rapidly-growing China’s sports industry.

Created by Branded, a leading producer of live media events, this year’s edition of Sports Connects is presented by Weibo Sports and ONE Championship and will take place on November 26-28.

The English/Mandarin programme features an exchange of ideas, networking and business opportunities built around three key themes:

  • China in China: The power of the domestic consumer
  • Exporting China: The opportunities for Chinese powerhouses overseas
  • The World Turns to China: The engine behind global sport industry growth

For Slumbers it will be his second visit to Asia in as many months, having attended the 10th edition of the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship at Singapore’s Sentosa Golf Club at the start of October.

Also among the speakers will be Mission Hills Group Vice Chairman Tenniel Chu and Arjun Chowdri, Senior Director, Global and Corporate Strategy, PGA of America, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

Among other high-profile presenters are Jason Fung, Global eSports Director, Alisports, Alibaba Group, David Yang, Chief Executive Officer of Wanda Sports China, Victor Cui, Chief Executive Officer International, ONE Championship and Richard Young, Managing Director of NFL China.
