TaylorMade joins Golf Management Australia

POSTED ON December 7, 2018 @ 6:21 pm

GMA is delighted to announce that the TaylorMade Golf Company has officially signed on as a new partner of GMA for the next two years.

With TaylorMade’s position in the golf industry unsurpassed, GMA Executive Officer Jim Cail was thrilled to enter into an agreement with TaylorMade, which will see the organisation support the GMA membership over the coming years, particularly at golf networking days, and with a presence at the 2019 GMA National Conference to be held in Melbourne in October.

Mr Cail said, “the partnership will provide excellent outcomes for GMA members, and will no doubt enhance the opportunities for both organisations to continue to work together long into the future”.

The TaylorMade Golf Company was founded by Gary Adams in the spring of 1979, who took out a $24,000 loan on his home to fund its establishment.  Initially, there were three employees and a single, innovative product: the 12-degree driver cast of stainless steel. This new metal wood looked and sounded different from a wooden wood, and most important, it performed differently.

Since that day, TaylorMade has cemented its position as one of the best performance golf companies in the world.

Andrew Bayliss, General Manager & Director of TaylorMade in Australia and New Zealand also indicated “TaylorMade is honored to partner with the GMA who are a forward thinking and preeminent organization in the golf industry. We are passionate about supporting authentic golf channels and this agreement with the GMA cements a long-term vision for us to create a value add partnership for all Pro Shops, GMA members and golfers in turn”.

“Our focus on being the number 1 performance golf brand is unrelenting and this transcends all facets of our business from product, marketing, sales, operations and most importantly service. The synergy and brand alignment between the GMA and TaylorMade provides some exciting opportunities moving forward and compliments the already strong connections that have been formed through the PGA and Golf Australia.  We are very excited to enter the 2-year agreement and look forward to meeting all GMA members very soon” said Mr Bayliss.
