Greg Norman partners with Dean Lukin Jr to revive old Port Lincoln project

Port Lincoln project

It was announced last week that the golfing great in collaboration with Dean Lukin Jr would dust off the old 2012 Port Lincon project – a residential development plan featuring a custom-designed golf course for an estimated $600m to $700m.

Greg Norman Golf Course Design formally signed the agreement with Lukin Jr on Wednesday night and said he was honoured to “assist Dean in carrying on the Lukin legacy in Australia with the development of his project in Port Lincoln”.

“It has been a long road, but we are so glad to finally be here and move forward with the formal master plan agreement,”

“There is a lot to look forward to and I am delighted to continue my long relationship with Dean and bring something special to South Australia.”

The project, which was initiated over a decade ago but never broke ground, is anticipated to provide the Port Lincoln region and Eyre Peninsula with a welcomed financial boost by attracting more people to the area.

According to Lukin, the pair has already secured all the required zoning approvals, which will involve 40 hectares of residential land, a commercial precinct and a desalination plant.

Biggest residential project in SA

Lukin described the scheme as the biggest of its kind in regional South Australia and declared his excitement for the project as well as the opportunity to work with the Australian golfing legend.

“There is nobody better than Greg in achieving an aesthetic, well-planned and creative golf course development,” he said in a media release.

“I am supremely confident everybody will be pleased with the outcome.”

“Greg believes in this project and wants to see it happen. I believe in it too,” he said.

The golf course design and number of housing blocks offered for sale are details yet to be determined.
