Golf carts lost in fire at Joondalup Resort in WA
Emergency services were called to Joondalup Resort Golf Course, Connolly, about 12.40am following reports of smoke coming from the resort’s building.
Six golf buggies caught fire at the golf course in Perth’s northern suburbs in the early hours of Wednesday 22 January 2025.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said firefighters made entry and contained the blaze to the golf buggy storage area by about 1.50am.
The fire was allegedly caused by a lithium-ion battery.
Six of the course’s 30 golf buggies are understood to have been impacted by the blaze.
