POSTED ON January 2, 2026 @ 3:57 pm

Who we are

This is not your average Head Chef role.

Positioned in a spectacular coastal setting, Flinders has a warm and welcoming vibe, with an eye for quirky excellence. Our customers are a mix of members and guests, golfers and non-golfers. The business is set to grow on strong foundations, and this opportunity allows you to put your professional stamp on the food offering.

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Hospitality Manager, you will lead all food operations by crafting and delivering bespoke menus that complement the breathtaking views from the bistro overlooking the golf course and Bass Strait.

About you

  • A minimum of 7 years’ hands-on industry experience in leadership roles
  • Ability to build, support, inspire and grow your team
  • Professional presentation, excellent customer service skills and a desire to connect with guests outside the kitchen and deliver exceptional experiences
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on events and venue activations
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about local, seasonal produce
  • Manage ordering, stock control and kitchen financials in line with budget
  • Champion food safety, cleanliness and compliance

What we offer

  • The unicorn “work/lifestyle” balance

  • $110,000 salary plus superannuation
  • A professional work environment that genuinely cares about people
