Champion Sports has announced the appointment of Alex Benjamin as Sales Agent for Victoria, effective May 1, 2026. The move aims to bolster the company’s regional growth and enhance local customer support.

In his new capacity, Benjamin will oversee client relationship management, business development, and partner support throughout the Victorian market.

A Career Rooted in the Green

Benjamin enters the role with a background spanning both professional play and commercial operations within the golf industry.

  • Early Career: Began playing at age 10, notably recording a hole-in-one during his first round, and completed his PGA apprenticeship at Kingswood Golf Club.
  • Professional Play: Competed on the Australian Tour, the PGA Pro-Am circuit, and the Hooters Tour in the United States.
  • Commercial Leadership: Spent 12 years with TaylorMade, serving as Head of Experiential and National Training Supervisor. During this time, he led product education programs and elite club fitting initiatives.

Strategic Growth

The appointment is a key component of Champion Sports’ strategy to deepen its influence in the Victorian region, particularly regarding its premium partnerships.

“His deep industry knowledge, strong relationships, and passion for the game make him an outstanding addition,” said Jason Bridge, Managing Director of Champion Sports. “Alex is one of the most respected minds in the industry and I’m particularly excited about the contribution he can make to one of our key brands, PXG.”

Benjamin expressed his enthusiasm for the new chapter, stating:

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Champion Sports team and look forward to building strong relationships across Victoria while contributing to the continued growth of the brands Champion Sports represents.”

Personal Background

Aged 38, Benjamin is a father of two and a dedicated supporter of the Essendon Bombers. His interests outside of the golf industry include family, travel, music, and fashion.
