JOB: General Manager – Rosebud Country Club
Rosebud Country Club, located on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, has a long history as a valued community focused club. The Club has a strong mix of Golfing, Bowls and Social Members, with a positive reputation for its friendly atmosphere and strong community spirit. The clubhouse, overlooks the picturesque 36-hole golf course and lawn bowls complex and comprises a large bar, bistro, functions and gaming areas.
The Club is in a sound financial position and committed to building on our strengths over the coming years. We are looking for a motivated, experienced and dynamic person to lead our team in the role of General Manager. This is a permanent position where you will be managing a team comprised of a mix of full/part-time and casual employees.
This hands-on role will work closely with our President and Board to develop and implement the long-term strategic plan. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Club’s performance, and will work closely with Course Superintendent, Golf Operations Manager and FOH Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the business.
RCC is also the home of WEBEX Victoria which we have hosted for the past six years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations across all departments
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organisational goals
- Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Analyse performance metrics and prepare regular reports for Managers and the Board.
- Lead, mentor, and develop key staff
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
- Identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and operational efficiencies
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and company policies
- Work with the PGA on the delivery of the WEBEX Victoria Tournament.
- Represent RCC as an ambassador, promoting Club membership and actively interacting with Members with a view to continually
- improving the customer experience.
To be considered for this position you should have:
- Proven experience in a senior management or General Manager role in a member-based organisation
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent financial and business acumenAbility to manage multiple departments and priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with strategic planning and execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- Must be able to meet Liquor and Gaming requirements, including Police and ASICS checks
- Flexibility to work days, weekends and public holidays, where required
The successful applicant will report to and work closely with the President to achieve the objectives of the strategic plan, and therefore must be comfortable working in this form of collaborative partnership.

Remuneration:
The remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
