Noosa Springs Embarks on New Era with Azzopardi Golf Academy Partnership

POSTED ON April 10, 2026 @ 3:37 pm

Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort has officially entered a new chapter in player development, announcing a premier partnership with the Dom Azzopardi Golf Academy. The academy began operations this month, bringing a modern, tech-driven approach to one of the Sunshine Coast’s most established golfing communities.

A Fresh Approach to Coaching

The partnership aims to merge high-quality instruction with innovation to enhance the experience for both members and guests. Academy principal Dom Azzopardi, recognized as one of Australia’s top coaches, leads the venture.

While Azzopardi is well-known for his work with club golfers, his resume includes coaching international stars such as:

  • Lucas Herbert (LIV Golf)
  • Karis Davidson (LPGA Tour)
  • Kerry Mountcastle (Australasian Tour)

“We’re very pleased to welcome Dom Azzopardi Golf Academy to Noosa Springs and to introduce a new era of coaching,” said Noosa Springs Club Manager Dan Chandler. “This partnership is about enhancing the overall golf experience… while building on the strong community that already exists here”.

World-Class Technology and Expertise

The academy’s expansion to Noosa Springs follows its success at Peregian Springs Golf Club. Members can expect a structured coaching pathway and access to elite PGA professionals. The program will also integrate advanced training tools, including:

  • TrackMan launch monitors
  • Smart2Move force plates
  • A streamlined online booking platform for all lessons

Despite the new leadership, familiar faces will remain. Greg Lynch has joined the academy to maintain his long-standing relationships with the club’s membership. He is joined by Josh Lane, a veteran PGA professional with over 20 years of experience in coaching and tournament play.

Looking to the Future

The collaboration is not just about immediate instruction but also long-term facility growth. Plans are already underway for a state-of-the-art indoor teaching facility, which will allow for year-round coaching regardless of weather conditions.

“Noosa Springs has a fantastic membership base and a great culture, and we’re excited to be part of that,” Azzopardi said. “Our focus is on creating an inclusive, high-quality coaching environment where golfers of all levels can improve and enjoy their game”.
