Clive Palmer buys Hyatt Regency Coolum

Clive Palmer, Queensland’s richest man, has bought one of the state’s prime tourist venues, the Hyatt Regency Coolum resort on the Sunshine Coast.

It’s the mining magnate’s first venture into the tourism industry, but he’s not revealing how much it cost.

“The Hyatt Regency is one of the state’s leading resorts and has a rich history,” he said.
