SEEKING: Manager – Gardiners Run Golf Course
Set in the picturesque Yarra Valley, and only 35 minutes from the centre of Melbourne, Gardiners Run is the home of golf for Chirnside Park Country Club.
Opening in 2014, Gardiners Run provides golf members and public golfers with a high-quality 18-hole golf course, a variety of practice facilities and an intimate clubhouse with accompanying golf retail, golf operations and hospitality services.
The Country Club is seeking a dynamic golf management professional to lead the team and drive this new golf business to the next level.
Working closely with the Country Club’s General Manager the Manager’s priorities will be:
- Providing leadership to ensure high levels of performance and service across all areas of operations;
- Building golf membership and revenue, particularly green fee and golf retail revenue via effective marketing and communication initiatives; and
- Effectively delivering overall financial performance, including the cost-effective management, maintenance and improvement of assets- particularly the golf course.
The successful candidate will possess the following key performance attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership and management of a high-performing employment team with a focus on customer service;
- Proven record in growing membership, green fee and golf retail revenue, including the effective use of technology; and
- Experience in golf operations and golf retail, together with an understanding of hospitality and financial management.
You will possess excellent organisational skills with a willingness and versatility to work collaboratively with the General Manager, club staff, club committees and contractors; and it is essential you be a friendly, independent and motivated person with strong communication and personal skills that match the club’s culture.
An appropriate remuneration package will be offered commensurate with the role.
