Have more fun playing golf & support cancer research by joining the Golf Surprize League

POSTED ON April 10, 2023 @ 3:30 pm

  • Are you tired of playing golf for peanuts?
  • Do you want to make your rounds of golf more exciting and meaningful?

Then you should consider joining the Golf Surprize League, a unique and fun way to win prizes in rounds of golf you already play while contributing to cancer research.

Through a unique partnership, you can now support the Cancer Council of Australia AND have more fun in any round of golf by making it a league round. Get rewarded for your support with prizes on offer under your tee time, target scores, and stray shots.

What is Golf Surprize League?

Golf is a beloved pastime of millions of Australians, and unfortunately, almost just as many have a personal connection to cancer through a friend or family member who has battled the disease. That’s why the Golf Surprize League has set a goal to raise over half a million dollars in 2023 by awarding prizes to golfers in rounds they already play, using a unique and fun approach.

The Golf Surprize League is a fun and unique way for golfers to give back while playing their favourite sport and the league is open to both handicap and non-handicap golfers, as well as social golfers, indoor golfers, courses, brands, and sponsors who want to make a difference. 70% of EVERY entry fee goes directly to cancer research and prizes, giving golfers a chance to give back while enjoying their favourite sport.

Cancer Council has endorsed the league as a follow-on from the Longest Day for golfers to be able to have more fun playing golf the rest of the year while contributing to much-needed funding in cancer research. Even shooting a score of 100 can now be a positive story if you win something for it. Mulligans, mistakes, and missed hits earn instant credit and prizes.

From novices to experts and casual golfers to competitive golfers, Golf Surprize League and Cancer Council would ask every golfer to at least try it once.

How it works

Any round of golf can be a League Round, and players can nominate any round they plan to play to win prizes. This adds more fun to playing golf, as knowing that part of the entry fee goes directly to the Cancer Council gives more meaning to the game. Plus, players now have a reason to lose golf balls, as there are opportunities to win prizes for stray shots, taking the pressure off perfectly playing every game.

To join the league, golfers will pay a small fee of $40 and nominate any four rounds of golf they plan to play by entering the Tee Time. The prizes are hidden under your tee time and are waiting for you to collect by beating Target Scores ™.

On game day, you will receive an SMS with a link to the three different ways to win prizes without needing to beat any other players. The prizes include course credit or e-vouchers from nearly 400 different brands, including Ampol, Woolworths, Coles, BP, Bunnings, KMart, Harvey Norman, and many more. When you nominate a round on the tee time platform, you will receive a link on game day to reveal brand logos. If they turn green you win the amount shown to spend with that brand.

By participating in the Golf Surprize League, golfers can have fun, improve their game, and contribute to a worthy cause all at the same time.

What’s in it for the Club?

The golf industry has been experiencing a major boom in recent years and a great way to improve retention or frequency of play is by providing alternative formats to attract millennials, create more fun in a member round, or assist in increasing your pro shop turnover.

To maintain smooth operations and encourage loyal spending, club managers must find new and innovative revenue streams. It is now essential for clubs to offer something unique, like a distinctive course or clubhouse, to differentiate themselves from the competition.

“1 in 4 winners will win course credit to spend with participating courses.”

Golf Surprize League offers a practical and thrilling rewards-based approach that incentivises players to spend more money at the club, without requiring any out-of-pocket expenses or administration from the course. By advertising tee times at higher prices, with the chance to win prizes, rather than offering discounts, clubs can appear more valuable to golfers and generate more revenue. Golf Surprize League is a risk-free way to increase revenue without raising green fees, making it a valuable addition to any club’s revenue stream.

Whether a club wants to sell old stock, attract social golfers, book specific tee times, or replace outdated event formats, Golf Surprize League has a proven track record of drawing in more golfers and generating new revenue through a simple solution that is guaranteed and measurable in all areas.

The benefits of the Golf Surprize League are significant and mutually beneficial for golfers and clubs. There is no risk in trying to add value to your club today with Golf Surprize League. It is a win-win situation that delivers real results.
