Mr 99.3% returns for GMA National Conference 2015
When the GMA Board of Directors surveyed members who attended the GMA National Conference 2013, a high number of presenters received excellent survey ratings following their presentations.
One of those who received an amazingly positive score was Greg DeRosa who voted 99.3% when the “Excellent, Very Good and Good” results were combined. And nearly 87% voted “Excellent and Very Good”.
It is therefore with great pleasure that GMA announces that Greg DeRosa is returning with enthusiasm to present on two excellent topics at the GMA National Conference 2015.
On Tuesday 1st September, Greg will present “Director Induction and Education” and on Thursday 3rd September, Greg’s topic will be “10 Keys to being a successful Golf Club Manager”.
Greg DeRosa’s club management career spans over twenty years in the private athletic and golf and country club segments.
Greg (pictured) recently joined the exclusive Roaring Fork Club in the Colorado Rockies where he serves as the Club’s General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, and President.
Most recently Greg served as a search executive and consultant for Kopplin & Kuebler which specialises in executive search for the private club industry.
Prior to Kopplin & Kuebler Greg’s operations career included General Manager and Chief Operating Officer for The Olympic Club in San Francisco, California. During his tenure at Olympic, Greg managed the highly acclaimed 2012 U.S. Open Championship.
Prior to his tenure at Olympic, Greg served for five years as The GM/COO at the prestigious Cherry Hills Country Club in Denver, Colorado and seven years in a similar role at Boulder Country Club in Boulder, Colorado.
His golf management career began in 1996 when he led two different Californian Clubs as a General Manager for American Golf Country Club’s private club division.
Greg’s active involvement in The Club Managers association of America included numerous committee roles both locally and nationally as well as serving as Mile High Chapter President in 2005.
Greg speaks regularly at local and national CMAA educational events and has also presented internationally at The European Club Leadership Summit and Golf Management Australia’s national conference.
Greg is a 1987 graduate of the Colorado State University School of Business.
Greg and his wife of 20 years (Michele) reside in Carbondale, Colorado and have three daughters.
Commenting on his return to Australia, Greg said “I am honoured to be asked back. I have just started on a book (not yet titled) but the focus is on pushing the limits and doing extraordinary things to make a difference in the world. Not all of it will be club focused, but hopefully will encourage leaders to take their skills outside of their typical realm to influence positive change.”
