JOB: Operations Manager – Huntingdale Golf Club
Huntingdale Golf Club, one of Australia’s most prestigious golf clubs and part of the world-famous Melbourne Sandbelt, is seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual looking to take the next step in their career.
The Club is entering a significant moment in its history with the redevelopment of its golf course in the near future. Working closely with the General Manager, department heads and the Board, the Operations Manager will drive standards to further elevate the Club. The successful candidate will assist in the development of the Club’s new strategic plan, and be responsible for delivering elements of this plan.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- In the absence of the General Manager will take responsibility for the management of the Club
- Responsible for the marketing, administration and running of all corporate golf events and functions
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the clubhouse which includes the Kitchen, Food & Beverage and cleaning team
- Actively demonstrate positive leadership to influence the service level and staff satisfaction within the service teams
- Assist in the Club’s full compliance with all relevant legislation
- Assist the General Manager & Finance Manager with the preparation of annual budgets, cash flow forecasting and clubhouse capital expenditure requirements
- Assist in the HR function of the Club as required
- Review, negotiate, and monitor the service and maintenance contracts entered into by the Club
- Responsible for the Club’s OHS standards
- Oversee and arrange the marketing of the Club through social media as per the marketing plan, and seek additional ways to promote the Club as opportunities may arise
- In the absence of the Finance Manager ensure the Clubs payroll is processed
- Secretariat to various Club sub-committees
- Other duties as required from time to time as directed by the General Manager

- Passion for golf
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/ or relative experience will be highly regarded
This position is full-time and an attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
